I Have A New Fav Scent!

So while my oldest niece was here (She's 15) she gave me some of her new hand sanitizer to try that she got for Christmas. She said her mom got it for her from Vicoria's Secret and that it smelled soooo good! Now my fav perfume is Victoria's Secret's Pink so I didn't know what to expect, thinking it probably wouldn't top that. I have to say I found a new fav scent! It is "Love Spell" and it smells amazing. My hubby thinks it's pretty awesome as well. I took her with me to the mall the day after just so I could go and pick up some Love Spell body lotion and mini hand sanitizer. I heard the body spray doesn't smell as good but the body lotion and hand sanitizer are heavenly!

Kids, Kids, And More Kids!

Right now I have a full house! My two nieces and nephew have been staying with us for the past two days and I'm suprised I still have a head full of hair, lol! On an honest note I am overjoyed to get to see them since it's only a couple times a year that I get to. It's the fact that altogether when you throw in my four, you get a chaotic bunch of seven kids! I have to admit I broke down and took a breather today and went to the mall for some "me" time. Hubby was more than happy to take over. I think he knew I was feeling a little run down from all the hyper going around in my home. Tomorrow my nieces and nephew go home and I will be sad to see them go, but happy to get back to the norm. This kind of event makes me strangely thankful to have only four children, lol! I can't imagine any more than I have though....Hmmm...

Ouch My Hands!

Well the worst part of Christmas morning is over, trying to get all those darn toys free from their boxes and complicated packaging. It never fails that every birthday or Christmas my hands, and mainly fingers, are sore and have little cuts from trying to wrestle with the packaging. Why do they make it so complicated? The pain makes it all worth it though when I see how excited my kids are to get their hands on their new toys! Merry Christmas To All!

Here Comes Santa Claus

The kids are asleep and Santa (I mean hubby and myself, lol) have delivered tomorrow morning's goodies! My favorite part of Christmas is always watching my kids open their gifts. I'm about ready for bed myself. I did Christmas dinner earlier today and cooked a huge dinner for eight so I'm pretty beat! Can't wait til' morning...

~ Disneyland Bound ~

I'm so excited! We've decided to take a family vacation to Disneyland this spring! I haven't been there since I was about 10 years old and my kids plus hubby have never been, so this should be a blast for them! Just because I'm a grown up, does not take away the fact that Disneyland rocks... The countdown is on for some family fun!

Bedtime Wars...

As I type this I feel the nerves kicking in because it's almost that time...bed time for the kiddos. It's like I'm mentally already putting on my suit of armor. I can't be the only mother who feels this way sometimes. My two oldest are great at going right to sleep. It's my five year old twins that share a room and seem to enjoy making mom frazzled with late night ruckus. I swear there are some nights I'm in there asking them to go sleep or giving them another bedtime drink between ten and twenty times. I'm hoping this night will be different. Maybe tonight they will be so tired from cutting loose around the house during winter vacation, that they won't even have an ounce of ruckus left in them. Something tells me though not to count my chickens before they hatch. Game on....

Future Goals...

So besides my being able to use this blog as a blabber spot for the daily ventures I encounter going back to school and being a mom of four little rugrats, I am hoping to build to the point where I can get into product reviews and the ability to hold giveaways on my blog! I know a lot of mom's do this and I am excited to hopefully follow in their footsteps soon...

Yeah Me, LoL!

So I'm slowly getting the hang of putting my blog together and I accomplished TABS! After hours of struggling and being frustrated, I have conquered that which they call TABS.... Time for a coffee break and a self pat on the back!

Reviews

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to review a fantastic product from Piggy Paint! Piggy Paint was founded by Melanie Hurley, a mother of two girls that wanted to create a safe alternative to traditional nail polish for her children. Unlike other polishes, Piggy Paint is non-flammable and is a water based polish formulated from natural ingredients. Even better is the fact that there are no harsh chemicals or foul odors to deal with!

Now I have four little princesses who just love to paint their nails, and I love to join in on the fun with them! I gathered the girls together so we could have some painting fun with my new polish courtesy of Piggy Paint! First off, the color was beautiful and just looking at the polish in the bottle, it definitley looks rich in color like any other traditional polish.

Now came the test! I was eager to see if this polish would hold up in color and appearance when on the nails, compared to traditional polishes. And you know what? IT DID! The girls and I had such a blast and the polish was quick drying, rich in color, and looked perfect on the nails! Usually I have a headache after the girls and I do our nails... Not this time! I was even provided a sample of Piggy Paint's polish remover to try which boasts no acetone, made from natural ingredients, and is hypo-allergenic! I tried some on one of my nails after the polish had set and it works just as well as your average run of the mill acetone fueled polish remover!

Upcoming Classes

For this next term (Winter Term) I will be taking my required math course and accounting. Neither of which I am excited to venture into... I know there is a lot of office behind the scenes work that goes into Medical Office Assisting, but I wonder how much actual "accounting" I will encounter. I guess only time will tell! I must say I am anticipating what the new term will bring and I hope to keep up my straight A's!

And The Blog Is Born!

I started this blog to capture my experiences as I continue my journey as a back to school mommy! I know a lot of mothers, and fathers for that matter (including my hubby) are going back to school to further their education and get better jobs! I myself am going back to school for Medical Office Assisting, just finished my first term this fall! I look forward to meeting other mothers who are also on this journey and enjoying the ride of blogging my adventures!
