30 Day Blog Challenge
"Your Views On Religion"
Today is Day 4 of the 30 Day Blog Challenge and today's topic is your views on religion. Just a reminder, if you want to start your own 30 Day Blog Challenge, you can find the daily prompts here! It really is a fun experience for not only yourselves, but your readers as well.
My views on religion are actually pretty cut and dry. I believe in God. I believe there is a form of heaven and hell waiting for us after death. I do not currently attend church and I do not try to push my beliefs on others. My children also believe in God, as well as my husband. If I had to put a religious group label on our family, I would say we are a mix of Christian and Catholic ways. I was raised Catholic and I have carried on my Grandmother's observence of Good Friday with my own family, which means no meat on that day for us. That's about the extent of the Catholic part. I don't go to confession or mass, though I sometimes think it would do me a wealth of good. Otherwise, we are for the majority, a Christian family.
This is a hard and somewhat controversial blog challenge topic for me. I'm not extremely religious, nor do I like putting labels on personal beliefs. I respect everyone's views on religion, even if I may not completely agree. In the end, I don't think any of us truly knows what happens after we die until we experience it for ourselves.
Whew! Day 4 can now be checked off the challenge list!
