Revenge of the Vegetarian Book Review

Revenge of the Vegetarian by Jim Tilberry is a must read humorous spin on the world of vegetarianism!  When the opportunity to review this book came along it couldn't have been better timing, as this month marks one year since I became a vegetarian.  Woo Hoo!  Jim keeps the laugh rolling in this fun and easy to read 70 page book that covers a wide range of topics such as dealing with meat eaters in social situations and even humorous interviews with dead vegetarians.

I will tell you that being a vegetarian myself, my biggest frustrations do come from dealing with meat eaters in public situations.  People give me weird looks when I tell them I don't eat meat and of course I get asked more times than I could count why I don't eat meat.  Like really?  Why do YOU eat meat!  But seriously, this book had a funny line in it that I am determined to use next time I am out and approached with this question.  The author Jim Tilberry suggests saying "Because I've had Mad Cow Disease three times already and my doctor said if I get it again my brain will turn to oatmeal" (Tiilberry, Jim).  Classic!

This book also lists the top 10 great reasons to become a vegetarian, which lists one of my favorite reasons why being a vegetarian rocks - You get to choose the restaurant when eating out with family and friends!  While my husband likes to joke when we go out if I want to eat at All Meat All The Time, which by the way is a ridiculously named fictitious restaurant.  If there isn't something on the menu that I can eat, we don't go there.  Total bonus!

If you are a vegetarian, this book is a must read!  If you have some vegetarian friends, give it as a gift that they will love!  You can find Revenge of the Vegetarian by Jim Tilberry on Amazon.com right now for the low price of $2.99.  I give this book two thumbs way up!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
