Carmex Everyday Lip Conditioner Review

Carmex has your cracked and dry lips covered during these coming chilly and windy months with their Everyday Lip Conditioner.  The Everyday Lip Conditioner is a non greasy formula that absorbs fast and uses 13 different moisturizers to help keep your lips soft and smooth during even the harshest conditions.  Carmex also added a hint of orange to their lip condioner formula for a light and sweet scent and taste!

This lip conditioner contains Aloe Butter, Cocoa Butter, Lanolin, and Vitamin E to keep lips moisturized and conditioned.  Lips don't feel waxy or sticky with this smooth formula, which is a nice plus!  You also won't have to worry about re-applying the lip conditioner multiple times a day.  This unique formula absorbs quickly and keeps the moisture locked in for a long lasting application.

I had the pleasure of recently reviewing the Carmex Everyday Lip Conditioner for myself.  This review came in at a great time, as I've been battling a cold which has left me with dry, cracked lips.  I found this lip conditioner to have a wonderfully smooth and fast absorbing formula.  Not sticky or greasy like some other lip conditioner products on the market.  The hint of natural orange left a nice sweet fragrance and taste.  One application lasted me hours and after just 3 days of using the Carmex Lip Conditioner my lips are already back to their smooth, natural state.  If you battle chapped lips, or are looking to stock up on a great winter beauty staple, I highly recommend getting your hands on a tube of Carmex Lip Conditioner.  I'm now hooked and will never go back!

World Aids Day 2012

Every day 900 children are infected with AIDS.  90% of those children infected with HIV are a result of being passed from mother to child. What if we could knock that number down to 0?  The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation sees this as a possibility and has set a goal for that number by 2015.  This goal is achievable and prevention of new infections possible through preventative care.  As we approach December 1, 2012 (World AIDS Day), I encourage you to consider a donation to help stop these infections from occurring with a donation of $30.00 that will help fund the treatment of an HIV positive mother for one whole month.  If you are interested in donating you can click here for more information.

You can also help spread the word by tweeting one of the sample tweets below.  Thank You  :)

Education And Careers In Fraud Management

The field of fraud management deals with the monitoring of financial crimes, usually on a corporate level.  A career in fraud management can mean a number of different positions.  You may choose to specialize in the areas of credit card, banking, or insurance fraud.  Cyber security and computer crime are also other areas of interest you can explore.  Two of the most common careers in fraud management however are auditors and forensic accountants.  While education requirements can vary by position and location, your best bet for landing your career in this field is to obtain an MBA in fraud management.  A high end paying position in this field can yield you a six figure income, and these positions usually come with generous benefit packages.  If you enjoy working with numbers and have an interest in problem solving, you might find that a career in fraud management may be right for you!

What does an auditor do in the field of fraud management?

Auditors in the field of fraud management generally work in government positions on a city, state, or local level.  Their job is to audit certain businesses and individuals when deemed necessary, taking great care to ensure that both money taken in and paid out are in compliance with government regulations.  Other duties performed can include examining a company's procedures to prevent and catch any potential fraud or waste.

Torani Syrups Add A Fun Twist To Hot Chocolate!

Made with only the highest quality of ingredients and a taste so many have come to love, Torani syrups are the perfect addition to your favorite drinks.  Torani has been around since 1925 and is a brand recognized for exceptional flavor.  Known for their delicious coffee enhancing abilities, Torani is also great with many great other drinks as well such as Italian sodas, lemonades, cocktails, and smoothies.  This time of year when the weather is getting chilly outside, it's a great time to think of switching up your favorite hot beverages such as the ever so classic staple - hot chocolate.  With over 120 Torani syrup flavors the possibilities of flavor combinations and unique drink creations are truly endless!

As a java junkie you could imagine I was very excited when presented the opportunity to try Torani syrups in my home and share my thoughts with you.  I had never bought Torani syrups for my own use before this review.  I had only previously seen my local coffee stands use them and always had great coffees as a result.  When my flavors arrived in the mail (Peppermint & Vanilla Bean) I just knew that I had to try them out with some fun and flavorful concoctions.

So far I have used the Vanilla Bean Torani syrup in my coffee to give it a hint of vanilla.  I am very happy with the results!  It's a nice change to my usual sugar and creamer. My next idea for the Vanilla Bean is to try it in my coffee with a little Baileys creamer.  Yum!  With the Peppermint Torani syrup I thought what a great idea for an addition to hot chocolate!  Our whole family loves hot cocoa on chilly days.  When I told them that I had made them Peppermint Hot Chocolate they were very eager to try out my new Torani creation.  The verdict is out and they may never allow me to make them regular old hot chocolate again!  I have to say it is pretty darn tasty and I love how the two flavors compliment each other.

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Recipe:
* Makes 4 Servings *

Ingredients:

3 cups of milk
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons of Peppermint Torani syrup
2 heaping tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions:

1) Pour your milk, water, and peppermint syrup into a saucepan on medium heat.

2) As your mixture warms up add your vanilla, sugar, and cocoa powder and stir until well dissolved.

3)  Serve immediately with any toppings you choose. I love whipped cream, marshmallows, and a dash of cinnamon!  Enjoy!

Explore A Criminal Justice Degree

"Are you thinking of exploring a degree in criminal justice? Earning your criminal justice degree here can yield a variety of career options. Positions can range from law enforcement, FBI, forensics, and more. If you have good communication and people skills, a career in criminal justice could be just the right path for you!"

Most positions in the field of criminal justice are going to require some college coursework.  Police officers and correctional officers most often require at least an Associate's degree.  Correctional officers work as guards in prisons, jails, etc.  Police officers are in charge of keeping our everyday citizens and property safe.

If you are thinking about becoming a probation officer, a Bachelors degree is what you would need to pursue.  In this position you would be in charge of clients that are on probation and you would work with them to make sure they are following their court mandated probation rules, make recommendations on your clients to the court, as well as be in charge of any pre and post trial investigations.

If forensics are your cup of tea, then you may want to venture down the path to becoming a forensic scientist.  Becoming a forensic scientist means at least an education requirement of a criminal justice masters degree program.  Forensic scientists can choose to go on working a career in general forensics, or they may wish to choose a specific area to work in such as dental work, pathology, toxicology, etc.  A college background in math, chemistry, and biology is a good choice when entering into this field.

It is a good idea to explore what your state's education requirements are for any career you are going to pursue.  Some states may vary with their requirements so it is a good idea to check!  This will also give you a good insight into what salary ranges you can expect upon entering a career in your area in the field of criminal justice.

Guest Post: The New Bedroom Decor Trends to Try This Winter

With the days getting shorter and the nights drawing in, it's time to ensure that your home is the perfect warm and relaxing escape from the oncoming winter. Take your inspiration from autumn and winter colors and use contrasting textures to give the room depth and interest. Whether you prefer a minimalist look or something a little cozier, it is easy to update your bedroom with the latest trends.

Continental influence

Give your bedroom an indulgent French feel with a classic, cream colored metal bedstead. Use rich tones of berry and red with textures of silk and velvet for added luxury. Layer silk sheets, quilts and velvet throws for a cozy feel, using plenty of soft pillows. Deep carpets or rugs will add to the luxurious feel. Pretty patterned wallpaper in matching red tones will add interest to the walls and French style furnishings, such as a cream bedside table and drawers, will complete the look.
Alternatively, you can use French styling to create a minimalist look. Cream or whitewashed walls and a wooden floor will make the room fresh and airy. With your bedding, use tones of blues, whites and greys with a mixture of patterns and plains. For texture use soft cotton and warm woolen blankets. You can use contemporary furnishings for a clean modern look or go for shabby chic with one or two up cycled or antique pieces of furniture as a statement look.

Country cottage

Create an English country cottage look with a dark wooden bed frame and furnishings. Bright floral patterns used on the wallpaper, cushions and bedding will add contrast to the dark wood and brighten the room. Soften the look with a soft fabric headboard and rugs on the floor. A large quilt or duvet with lots of pillows creates a cozy escape. Get a slightly larger duvet than you need. For example, if you have a small double mattress, use a large double duvet for extra coziness. You can either use patterns in the fabric or keep them crisp and white for a bright feel. Freshly cut flowers in a simple vase will add a touch of country charm.

Using color

Rich dark tones will add a feeling of luxury to a bedroom. Use this season's trends of plum and aubergine to create a warm and welcoming space. Mix up textures such as cotton, silk and suede for luxurious bedding. Painting the walls with the same plum colors will add a touch of opulence. If the room is small or does not get much light you could try painting just one wall behind the bed to create a centerpiece for the room and leave the rest of the walls a neutral tone such as cream or white.
For a brighter, more vibrant bedroom, use the summer's must have colors of terracotta or orange in your color scheme. Choose a bedspread with geometric prints for a retro look or use color blocking for something more modern. To avoid looking too bright, either use strong colors on the walls or bedding and keep the rest of the colors neutral. Use modern fabric prints on the walls to add interest and cushions and throws to soften the look.

Guest Post: Maintaining Copper Kitchen Sinks

Copper is one of the most commonly used metals in creating various home fixtures such as copper kitchen sinks, bath tubs, and drains. It is praised for its strength and resistance to corrosion, among other things. But as with any metal, oxidation can be a problem, especially for copper fixtures that are meant to aesthetically enhance a home's interiors.

Oxidation occurs when copper is exposed to air. Over time, the oxidation will affect its patina, turning it deep green or black and ruining the appearance of fixtures. You can minimize oxidation by cleaning copper items and fixtures regularly. Otherwise, the copper fixtures will be too tarnished to restore to their former beauty.

Copper sinks in particular can be saved from the effects of oxidation by:

Rinsing them after every use. Allow running water over the surface to wash away excess soap, dirt or residue. Rinsing after use also prevents buildup of grime. It is also best to leave the water running if you are using acidic foods like vinegar and lemons, as acids can damage the sink's finish.

Washing the sink with mild soap and a nonabrasive sponge. If you plan to use cleaning agents, test the cleaner first on a small patch on the sink to find out if it can effectively clean the surface without destroying the patina. After washing, dry the sink with a soft, clean cloth. •Not trying to repair any scratches or scrapes on the surface. Copper naturally heals itself. If a part gets nicked, it will show up as pale, uneven shine. Over time, the scratch will start to age and attain to a dark, lustrous hue that will blend with the rest of the sink.

Applying a thin coat of wax occasionally. This keeps the sink free from residue that may accumulate on the surface. It also helps prevent scratches and water marks. As with cleaning agents, make sure that the wax you use is safe for copper surfaces.

Preventing oxidation and maintaining copper items is easier with regular cleaning. To know more about hand-crafted copper products, call 1-866-672-3401 or visit CopperKitchenSpecialists.com.

I recently had the opportunity to try out MailPix for myself by creating some wonderful photo gifts.  I chose to create some photo magnets, some snowflake ornaments, and their photo fleece blanket.  I found their website very easy to navigate and understand, and their easy walk through tutorials for creating your photo gifts was very simple!  Once ordered my creations arrived well packed and with speedy timing!

While I loved how everything turned out that I ordered, my favorite hands down was the fleece blanket.  You can see one of these pictured below to get an idea.  They come with an easy to carry strap so you can tote your blanket with ease from room to room or for on the go!  The blanket is super soft and the photo quality is amazing.  The blanket I created is of my husband and kids on our last hiking trip and I am planning on giving it to my mother in law this Christmas.  She is going to love it!  All in all I would use MailPix again for photo gifts and I would highly recommend them to try out and see for yourself how great their services are.
