Today was the girls' last day of school. Mine was a couple weeks ago, and now I am so happy that we get to enjoy the summer together before they head back again. I can't believe next year I will have an 8th grader, a 6th grader, and my twins will be 4th graders. I know it's what every parent says but it really is so true, they do grow up too fast! I can't even believe that I myself will already be moving into my last year of my bachelor's degree this fall. Things are moving right along!
The girls had a half day so when they got home we jumped in the car and headed out to first go buy my husband's Father's Day gift while we had some time and while he was away at work. Mission accomplished! Then I took the girls for a fun treat that I have to admit I was excited for too - a Slurpee! I can't even tell you how long it's been since I had a Slurpee. Too long that's for sure! We got home just in time for us to sign the cards and wrap the gifts for Father's Day before my husband got home. Then we headed out to a nice family dinner to finish off celebrating the final day of school.
Last Day of School Slurpee Treat!
I'm looking forward to most of all enjoying as much time outdoors with my family as possible this summer. We always have so much fun this time of year going hiking, swimming, fishing, to the beach, you name it! We also have some fun mini road trips and plenty of local festivals lined up to keep us busy. I can't wait to share our adventures this summer here on the blog. I promise to bring my camera along! :)
