Baby Necessities from eBay

This is a guest post.

Having a child requires not just a lot of patience, but also just a lot of stuff. From pacifiers to bags to toys to entertain them when you just need to go to the bathroom, it’s a lot. Luckily for you, the eBay store My Secret Czech Store has all of that in one handy spot for you, all at affordable prices.

My Secret Czech Store is an eBay store that has been selling for eight years and has a 100% feedback rating. It gets its products from German company NUK, which are well made and also incredibly cheap. Why are they so cheap? Mainly because all items are shipped from the Czech Republic, and doing this ensures both the quality of the items, but also can allow them to be cheaper due to the nature of the Czech market. Who doesn’t want quality items at cheap prices?

Of course, you would never use something on your baby that’s not tested and considered safe, but you can rest assured that these products are of the highest quality. NUK has been around since the 1940s and uses the latest medical science to create safe, quality items: all of which are inspired by Mother Nature herself.

Pretty much anything you could think of needing is sold at this eBay shop. With just over 150 different items, there’s a wide selection for you to choose from. The largest category by far is under the feeding, bathing and grooming sections for babies—something we could all use! There is a huge range of pacifiers, all which are incredible adorable. You could choose from red and pink polka dots, animal or Disney-inspired, or even a really cute blue nautical theme with a little seahorse. All of these pacifiers are at the amazing price of under $10. That’s unbeatable.

My Secret Czech Store doesn’t sell just pacifiers though, as you can buy baby scissors (only $11) baby cutlery (only $10), or even a baby hairbrush (under $15). It’s not unheard of to have baby items out there that companies and others claim are totally necessary and that you couldn’t live without—when in reality you don’t need them and they’re just overpriced and unnecessary. However, these items are not. Not only are they cheap, but they’re things that every parent needs to have for their child. And sometimes those are the things that companies truly try to rip you off on.

If you’re looking for other items related to your baby My Secret Czech Store has those too. From building toys to puzzles (most under $20) you can entertain your baby as well, far under the typical market price.

As a thank you to the readers, you get a 10% off when you spend $5 or more at the shop. Don’t overspend on the basics, instead buy great-quality, adorable items at a cheaper price, keeping you and your baby both happy and more money in your pockets.

5 Reasons Why Nursing Can Be a Great Career Choice

There are few professional careers that offer as many emotional and practical rewards as nursing.  And although it is an exhausting choice of career, those who have passion, and strong, intelligent traits are sure to find it a rewarding one.  And, with the US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicting a 16% growth in nursing over the next ten years, there has never been a better time to begin education.  Want to know why nursing could be the perfect career choice?  Keep reading to find out.

1. You Can Make a Difference
One of the main reasons why people embark on a nursing career is to make a difference in people’s lives.  And, making a difference doesn’t only involve caring for someone until they are back on their feet, it can also involve educating others about medications, diet, or a healthy lifestyle.  Psychiatric nurses can also teach patients how to deal with the stresses in their daily lives, and how to cope with everyday problems.

2. Schedules are Flexible
You may be thinking that a job in nursing will have you working unsociable for hours for the foreseeable future.  However, not all jobs in nursing are like this.  In fact, you’ll find many employers are flexible and offer to schedule work hours according to their employees’ needs.  This is especially true in the more competitive nursing fields.

3. A Good Salary
The mean annual salary for registered nurses, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, was $71,000 in 2015.  The lowest 10% of nurses earned just over $46,000 per year, whilst at the higher end of the scale, the top 10% earned over $100,000 annually.  Of course, nursing salaries do depend on the specialty you are trained to do, and where you work.  A nursing consultant may choose to charge by the hour, whereas a nurse employed for a cruise ship may earn around $60,000 over a six month stint.  Taking further courses, for example anesthesia courses through Valley Anesthesia, can also help to increase your wage.

4. The Industry is Growing
As we mentioned above, the healthcare industry is growing and this is good news for those who are currently undertaking their CRNA Boards.  The Affordable Care Act made it possible for more Americans to gain access to healthcare.  This is one of the things that has created a higher demand for nurses.  The other is the number of nurses entering into retirement.

5. Benefits and Tuition Packages
Because of the current demand for nurses, many employers are offering generous benefits packages to those who work for them.  Many are also offering to reimburse tuition for those who go on to specialize in certain disciplines.  Benefits include such things as on-site daycare, pensions, and insurance packages.
Although nursing is a demanding career, there are now more reasons than ever as to why it is a good career choice.  If you are thinking of entering into a new career, and have a true passion for helping others to live a more satisfying life, nursing could be a great choice.

5 Must-Have Items to Include on Your Baby Registry

This is a guest post from Kate Trout at Maternity Glow

Congratulations, you're pregnant! One of the most fun parts of being pregnant is having your baby shower, and of course the best part of the shower is registering for all those awesome gifts. But, sometimes there is "gift overload" where you're not really sure what to include on your registry, and what to leave off. With that in mind, I thought I'd create a post focused on my 5 must-have items to include on your registry list.

1. Baby Carrier

Once your baby is born, you're going to want to take her everywhere. Enter: the baby carrier. A good baby carrier is comfortable to wear, both for you and baby, and smartly designed so that you can carry your little one on yourself while freeing up your hands to do other tasks. There are a lot of good carriers available these days, but my favorite one is the Ergobaby 360 carrier—you can check out my review to learn more about it.

2. Hands-Free Pumping Bra

Notice a theme here: when you're a mom, your hands are always full (literally), and yet you're trying to do twenty different things at once. So, I really like items that free up your hands while still allowing you to focus on your mothering duties. A hands-free pumping bra fits this description perfectly, allowing you to pump while freeing up your hands to do other things like cook, vacuum, and take care of your baby! Things to look for in a good pumping bra include finding one that is comfortable, compatible with the more popular breast pumps, and one that's washable and durable. I have a whole guide dedicated to finding the best hands free pumping bra if you want to find out more.

3. Stroller Travel System

One of the best gifts I received at my baby shower was a stroller travel system. A stroller travel system combines the stroller and car seat into a single product, eliminating the need to purchase multiple items. Not only that, but having the compatibility factor of your car seat snapping into your stroller will save you tons of time and stress. When registering for a stroller travel system, look for one that's comfortable, durable, and safe. There are a couple of great options to choose from today, so check out my stroller travel system guide to find out more.

4. Baby Humidifier

An absolute must-have item for your baby's nursery is a good baby humidifier. A humidifier is important to keep your baby's skin from getting too dry, as the air in your house may not be humid enough for your little one. Best of all, a good baby humidifier can make the air more comfortable in your baby's room, thus allowing her to sleep better! If that's not a reason to register for one, then I don't know what is!

5. Baby Thermometer

Finally, and it stinks to even think about it, but your baby will, at some point, get sick. And when that happens, you're going to want a good and reliable baby thermometer to take her temperature. When you call your pediatrician to tell them you think your baby may be sick, one of the first things they're going to ask if is what your baby's temperature is. And you need to be as close to 100% sure that your temperature reading is accurate. There are a lot of inaccurate baby thermometers out there that give bad readings, so make sure you do a little research before registering for one.
