Day 7 of the 21 Day Mommy Blogger Weight Loss Challenge

Hooray!  It's the end of week 1 of the 21 Day Mommy Blogger Weight Loss Challenge put on by Dustin Maher, author of Fit Moms for Life!  I'm excited to weigh myself tomorrow morning and see my progress.  I'm not anticipating a high number, just anything lost and not gained is a win to me.  Today was a total set back for me.  I don't know what I did yesterday during my exercising, but I screwed up my back a good one.  It is hurting to sit here and type this.  Standing not much better.  I'm going to put a heat pad to it after the kids go to bed when I can settle down.  Since I was in no shape for a major exercise session today, I completed a measly 15 minutes of weights while sitting and some floor exercises such as crunches, leg lifts, etc.  I wish I could have done the regular exercise program but I honestly think I just made it worse with what I did do today.  I may have to go to the doc if it doesn't go away soon.  Eeew!  Anyways, I'm happy that I got in my protein and veggies today.  I also got a decent amount of sleep last night and a mini nap today, woo hoo!  Goal for tomorrow is for my back to be in better shape so I can start week 2 off with a bang!

Here's some other wonderful mom bloggers in this month's challenge.  Stop by and give them some support!

  1. The last time I pulled my back out I did some stetches and just walking till it was better. The time before that I was not exercising much back then and just threw it out pushing on something. I ended up needing muscle relaxers to help...tried pain killers from ER and chiropracter but nothing helped until the muscle relaxers..and some PT which they had me do a lot of stretches. One that comes to mind is to get down on all 4s, lower yourself down on your knees and reach your arms over your head and touch the floor and hold for 30sec-1min. Good luck!

  2. Thanks Colleen, I will try this! It probably wouldn't help me much to go the doctor anyways, she doesn't dole out pain meds unless you're dying lol. I might need to though if this keeps up so I can get an xray or something.
