The time before that I was not exercising much back then and just threw it out pushing on something. I ended up needing muscle relaxers to help...tried pain killers from ER and chiropracter but nothing helped until the muscle relaxers..and some PT which they had me do a lot of stretches. One that comes to mind is to get down on all 4s, lower yourself down on your knees and reach your arms over your head and touch the floor and hold for 30sec-1min.
