Makit Products Review

Producing more than 1 million plates a year for their customers, Makit Products Inc. helps families to create unique and personal plates that are helping to create happy moments everywhere.  Their original Make-A-Plate is over 40 years old and is still Makit's most beloved product.  The concept of Make-A-Plate began as a solution to find a useful way to preserve children's artwork, instead of it just hanging on the fridge or finding its way aimlessly into the trash.  The mission of Makit is to make memories that will last forever.

Makit is an official liscensee for:
* Disney
* Disney/Pixar
* Girls Scouts
* Crayola

Makit is also a green company that proudly does its share to help our environment.  All product remnants are recycled, they only turn on machinery being used at that time, they encourage employees to car pool, and more!  Celebrities such as Dick Clark, Kevin Bacon, Madonna, Steffi Graff, and more love and use Makit Products themselves!

I had the wonderful opportunity to review some of the wonderful products from Makit with my own girls!  The wonderful folks at Makit sent us three different kits.  We received the Photo Plate Kit, Make-A-Plate Kit, and Make-A-Plate Group Kit.

The original Make-A-Plate kit comes with a pack of Crayola Washable markers to color your plate design.  Both the Make-A-Plate and Make-A-Plate Group Kit come with plenty of round paper to practice perfecting your designs.  These are later sent in to Makit, where they will be transformed into the final product, a plate!  For their Photo Plate Kits, photos can be sent in via mail or online to complete your plate project.

The girls and I had so much fun crafting with our plate kits from Makit!  The whole process is very simple and kid friendly.  I love that the kits contain extra paper in case your child makes a mistake or wants to try again.  We haven't yet sent off our designs to be finished, as we have one more plate to complete here at our house.  All designs go back to Makit Headquarters where your plate will be born and sent back to you.  (Shipping not included with price of kits)

I love doing craft projects with my girls, and Makit has such wonderful kits that produce lasting treasures.  We plan on using one of the plates as a gift for Grandma.  I know she will just love it!  I think these kits would make a great holiday gift idea for the young ones in your life.  They really are so much fun.  My girls and I gave these products two thumbs up!
