Do you want to get away from this digital world for some time with your children, and bond with them? Do you want to experience a fun-filled weekend with your children? Are you stressed out and need some time off? You can do all that by playing a simple game with your little loved ones.
Gadgets these days consume a large part of children’s time, and parents need to find effective ways of spending quality time with them. There needs to be an activity through which parents can communicate with their children. The 24-hour challenge is a constructive activity and lets children have fun with their parents excitedly.

The 24-hour challenge is a game which sharpens creative thinking in children as well as elders. Escape room challenge is a simple yet brain-intensive game for children to enjoy as well as learn. Basically, you have to complete the escape room challenge by completing a string of puzzles through a series of signs. You and the children are in for a lot of fun if you are fully involved in the game. In this 24-hour challenge, you are provided with clues and hints so that you can solve interesting and mysterious riddles within 24 hours-time.

Let’s begin understanding the 24-hour challenge and the escape room challenge

So, it goes something like this: a group of players receive a code in a box underwater. They are to use that code to escape the room in order to go to a secret trip. It’s nighttime, so the visibility is low and there is an added adventure touch to it. The box contains a chess piece; they are going to decipher what that piece means and what do they have to do to go to the next stage of the 24-hour challenge. Besides the chess piece, there is a note that says: “time for a chess match”, and they have to unearth the meaning of that underlined “match”. The group of players, moving forward with the escape room challenge, start to explore the room for clues and hints. A voice tells them to split up; the shortest person gets the chess piece, and the tallest gets the box.

There is a theory that the game master wants to split up the team to make them weaker; there lies a lesson for the kids as well as for the elderly “unity begets strength and success”. Anyway, now the group tries to link the chess piece and the note that says: “time for the chess match”. Players wonder if they got to play the game of chess or is it just a symbolic representation of another hidden sign.
Solving the mystery of underlined “match”

The group finds a small chessboard on the table as well as a Tik-Tok game and a chessboard hinged on the wall. The chess piece is somehow related to the clues they are getting from the room, they think. Some dices are also attached to the wall with the sequence 1-6-5-3. There comes another chess board on another wall with chess pieces on it. The players think what if they have to match the chess piece with one of the pieces on that chessboard? Nah, that doesn’t seem right. Maybe, they got to “match” the little chessboard on the wall to the giant chessboard placed on the floor because the little person in the start had to switch the box with the small chess piece with the tallest person in the room.

There you go. Mystery solved.

They match the two by rearranging the giant chess pieces on the floor-chessboard. The tallest person is rearranging the chessboard and the smallest person is giving instructions from the smaller chessboard. Just after the match, they see a blinding white light and find a light-break thing on the floor chessboard, previously seen upstairs on the wall. The 24-hour challenge continues upstairs where a laser room is yet to be deciphered.

Entry to the Laser Room

The three-person group goes upstairs and finds a board with little light bulbs arranged to form words like SHM and GM. If they took off all the colored bulbs from the board, only the white light bulbs will remain; the color of the light-break thing. Taking off the colored bulbs leaves 4371 but with a few brighter bulbs; removing those results in 1271. This proves to be the entry code to the laser room.
Laser room
This is a difficult as well as an exciting part of the 24-hour challenge. During the escape room challenge, right after entering the laser room, the door closes after them and they find a clue on the floor asking them to find three items in the room.

1.      One to hear better
2.      One to see better
3.      One to talk better
And, there is more; if they touch the laser, the room resets.

After a struggle to move without touching the lasers, they find a listening device, a scrambler or something, and a walky-talky connected with the other group of players in the other room. Walky-talky does not work that well and the voice scrambles, however, they hear the word “laser” from the walky-talky.

Another note! It says: “all three shocks heart”. They perceive it to be a clue for the split group on the other side of the walky-talky and try to convey the message, but in vain. They are kind of stuck at this point as they cannot communicate with their mates.

The escape room challenge continues with more surprise clues and hints that can lead them to victory. It polishes creative and critical thinking and demands focus and teamwork. The escape room challenge is the most adventurous part as the team has to dodge many laser lights in order to find clues that lead them to the end solution.

24-hour challenge is an exciting adventure which provides an opportunity for parents to bond with their children and teach them a thing or two as well.
