My youngest two girls and I were lucky enough to have the chance to review the My First Hands-On Bible.  This book is a great start to learning the Bible for any young child!  The stories are simple enough for children to comprehend without skimping on the overall message.  The illustrations are colorful and fun.  I'm a fan myself of how nicely this hardcover book is put together, glossy pages and all.  I actually am planning on picking up another copy so that each of my younger girls has their own special book.

My girls loved the interactive features of this book!  There is also a fun little blurb after each story called the Jesus Connection that is an extra fun short take on the story to reinforce the value to your kids.  As a mom, reading this with my kids seems to just sink in better than the other bible stories for kids books we have around our home.  While they may have fun pictures, they don't seem to relate with their use of sentence structure and words to young kids.  My First Hands-On Bible is not only understandable, after each story there are activity options you can do using items in your home that help learning the story even more!

My First Hands-On Bible has become a favorite with all four of my girls.  Yes, even the older ones are borrowing it to read!  I like using this book to pick one story each night to read to the girls before bed.  Then after we are done reading we all do a nightly prayer and it just makes me feel good as a mom that I can use this book as such a valuable learning tool.  If you are searching for a starter bible for a young child, the My First Hands-On Bible is one to check out!  This mom and her girls give it two thumbs up!
