A Mom’s Secret Weapon Against Germs

I’ve spent a lot of time around kids. From early babysitting jobs to being an aunt to a hoard of nieces and nephews and then becoming a mother myself and if there is one thing I’ve learned it’s that children are a beautiful gross mess. Their little fingers seem as though they were designed to fit into their noses or the noses of their friends and hollering at your child from across the room as they lick macaroni off the floor only seems to motivate them to indulge in other sickness-inducing activities. Let’s not forget about the time my 3-year-old sneezed in my mouth. I’m sure we can all think of instances grosser still.

This tweet from  Lurkin’ Mom @LurkAtHomeMom is the most accurate thing I’ve ever read:

We’ve all been there. I know kids build immunity in their younger years through said grossness but that doesn’t mean we can’t protect our kids from germs by teaching them good hygiene habits. That means teaching them about how germs spread and how to practice germ control in crowded or high-touch areas. This little gem from YouTube has gotten the best response from my kids. They think it is super cute and catchy, plus it’s like the only germ video that actually holds their attention. Try it out on your kiddos and if you have any other germ learning suggestions, I would love to hear them so drop them in the comments!

Cutesy songs and gross incidents aside, the nuts and bolts of germ control is teaching our little ones how to keep their hands clean but proper handwashing skills and hand sanitizer use can only go so far. What if I told you that I have a secret weapon in my mom tool belt for fighting germs? That there is a way to actively block germs from your child’s hands? Not just your kid’s hands but also your hands, and the hands of pretty much everyone you know. That secret weapon is in a 1oz can with a label that reads Touch Germ Block or Touch for short.

Touch is an aerosol spray that kills germs on contact and keeps killing them for up to 6 hours. It is hands down one of the coolest products I have ever used. It contains essential oils that smell great while leaving your hands feeling nourished and soft, and since Touch contains zero alcohol it is totally safe for little hands of all ages. This also means it won’t burn if someone uses it with an owie. The best part is being able to spray my kid’s hands at the playground or at the children’s museum and then just let them run free! I don’t have to worry about what germs are lingering on the surfaces they come into contact with and best of all, I don’t have to interrupt their playtime in order to wash or sanitize hands.

Bonus: Touch is FDA certified and has been lab-tested to ensure it is safe for children to use. So, do yourself a favor and head to touchgermblock.com and use code CF25 to get 25% off of your order! Seriously, once you try it you will be hooked and you are going to want to keep this little secret weapon on “hand” at all times! It is an amazing product. Once you go Touch you never go back!
