Engage With The Arts

Most of us get very caught up in the stresses and demands of living in the day-to-day responsibilities of our lives. There are bills to be paid, commitments to be kept, laundry to be done and neighbors and co-workers to deal with. While all of this is important, there are other aspects of life that are equally important, like art and music and having a bit of fanciful fun.

It’s easy to get caught up in the weight of our responsibilities and negate the idea of art and music, but having some art in your life gives a healing perspective that is invaluable. Seeking solace in the arts think of a movie you loved as a child, or a song that engaged you. These are moments when art touched your soul, when a fanciful moment like seeing street pianos in ny made you feel anything is possible. All of this is why art is so important.

Art and music make us see past our three-dimensional reality and into a place that has a whole different perspective. There’s no question that artistic talent can be mysterious. Where does music come from? Why does it touch our soul the way it does? We don’t really know the answer to these questions, but the fact is that something inside of us is wired to love and appreciate the way that art and music makes us feel and question our own personal reality. All of this is why it is so important to stay connected to the arts, and to seek out ways to have more art in our lives.

So, when you get a break from working hard and dealing with daily responsibilities, seek out an art show or go to a movie or a concert. The way you feel after seeing or hearing great art will change the way you see life, and it will change it for the better.
